Anabelle Jane Thompson Look there she goes that girl is strange, no question. Dazed and distracted, can't you tell? One moment, Belle was standing upright, and the next, it was like the world was a blur before her eyes. Reality hit her with the thud of her's and his' body against the hard, linoleum school floor. Thankfully, there was no witnesses to see the two laying there.
Belle felt the crushing weight of the male's body on top of her's. "Would you...please...get off...me," she sputtered between gasps of air. Her arms found his chest and she tried her best to roll him off her. A little progess was made and Belle rolled out from under him. "My goodness," she sighed, looking to the male's face and already seeing a smile form across it. It was almost impossible for her to keep a straight face and soon her bursting laughter was ringing out through the hallway.
Belle propped herself up on her elbow and with her free hand she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "So, I suppose I've lost, then?" She added with a giggle and she looked at the figure laying on the floor next to her. And for the first time, she noticed his handsome features. The way his brown, taunting eyes looked up at her and the way his dark brown hair fell into them. It made her stomach flop. Too bad he was such an asshole.

"Would you...please...get off...me."
Chester allowed himself to be pushed off of her, putting his weight on his arm to make it easier for her. Although, the task was difficult for him due to the fact he was laughing so hard that he was near hysterics. He gasped heavily between bouts of laughter, until finally he began to relax.
Spotting the basketball sitting by itself not too far away, he squirmed against the hallway floor until he could reach it. Grabbing it, he returned to his original position and put one arm behind his head as a pillow, holding the ball with the other.
"So, I suppose I've lost, then?"
"The sun rises in the east each morning, does it not?" He said with another chuckle. Chester propped himself up with his arm, looking at her. A teasing grin was spread across his face, something not all that unusual. "Now, you owe me two things, anything I wish them to be..." He trailed off, glancing at her. He expected she would object, if the words clicked. Of course, it was by their agreement, only she had fallen for his swiftly spoken words, therefore would not understand where the second had come from. At least, that's what he expected.

Belle gazed at him with wide eyes and a look of curiousity spread across her face. She had of course, lost, and the feeling of anxiety was running through her veins. Since she had lost, and agreed on a somewhat bet, her mind was racing with favors the stranger was going to ask of her. She didn't have to when he spoke again, though.
"Now, you owe me two things, anything I wish them to be..."
Looking back to the male, her eyes grew even wider. "Two? I don't remember that we agreed upon two favors," Belle said in a tiny, meager of a whisper. Her mind wandered back to the conversation that had taken place not more than twenty minutes ago. Yes, she had known she had agreed to his game, mostly for the fun of spontaneousness and to see what he wanted of her. But for now, she was planning on playing dumb with him. "Are you sure it was two?" She questioned, rubbing her forhead with the palm of her hand. "I'm not quite sure I remember two." Feeling all warm in tingly inside, she tried not to let the emotions pour out from her. Hopefully he would be fooled by her face expressions.

"Two? I don't remember that we agreed upon two favors. Are you sure it was two? I'm not quite sure I remember two."
Chester chuckled and grinned happily. "I am quite positive it was two. If I remeber correctly, the agreement was, and I quote, 'If I win, I can ask any favor of you. If you loose, you will do one thing I ask.'" He sat up more properly and tossed the ball back and forth between his two hands. "Notice how not once did I mention that you would get anything if you won. Only if I won, and if you lost. If you count, that makes two situations.
" His smile loosened slightly as he leaned his head against the wall behind him, resting the basketball between his feet. " Now... two wishes. Hm." While he had been pretty confident that he would win whatever this game had turned out to be, he had put absolutely no thought into what he would ask of her. He scanned the hallways thoughtfully, trying to come up with something. Then he spotted a flyer for the upcoming school dance. At the moment, he planned on attending, but he had no one to go with. He grinned. " You must allow me to escort you to the Fairy Tale Ball." - - - - - - - - - - count: two one two notes: First thing that came to mind... it could be interesting though. xD[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Belle looked at him, watching the sun from the windows behind him light him up like a Christmas tree. It sent illuminating beams all around the two. "Well," she began, "if you insist that you did, I suppose you did. Maybe next time I'll have to pay more attention to what others say." She tried to force a smile back from where it came, but she felt it slowly tugging at her face, trying to escape. Now, what was he going to ask of her?
"Now... two wishes. Hm."
Belle watched him as he scanned the hallway thoughtfully; and she couldn't help but go back to her previous admiration of him. 'His broad shoulders, wow! He must look good without a shirt-STOP!" She scolded herself. Right now was definately not the time to be thinking about that.
"You must allow me to escort you to the Fairy Tale Ball."
Despite her greatest efforts to not show any emotion, her jaw suddenly dropped. No one, in their right mind, in past years had ever asked her to a school dance, let alone a social event. She wasn't an outcast or anything, it's just she didn't send off those vibes to people. And now, granted it was a bet, a guy had actually asked her to the dance. Trying to regain composure, and not let the stranger see her blushed cheeks, she replied, "Well, you see, I would, but there's one problem. How am I to RSVP if I don't even know the name of the person escorting me?" She giggled and then rested her eyes on the object that had caused all this.

Chester watched her struggle against a smile which threatened to push its way onto her face. He suspected that her 'not knowing' was just a joke, but it made no difference either way. He was getting his two wishes, and even if he did not, it would not bother him all that much. It was just a game, after all.
He watched her reaction to his first wish closely. The burning red just under her skin as she blushed, the drop of her jaw. He smiled. He had asked girls out to dances before, but usually it was not quite as random as this invitation had been. Usually, it was friends or people he had at least talked to a few times, not some random girl he had just met, made a bet with, and won.
"Well, you see, I would, but there's one problem. How am I to RSVP if I don't even know the name of the person escorting me?"
"That is quite simple," he said, his tone matter-of-fact. "My name is Chester Byrd. Nice to meet you, ma'dam. Now, what may I call you?"

Belle repeated his name in her brain a few times, listening to the syllables run into each other. "Well," she began in a more serious tone, "you may call me Belle. Just Belle." She grinned at the mention of her own name. It was the first time her name had been mentioned in open air between the two and now she was getting the feeling she wanted to take it all back.
And now, remembering Chester's one, last wish, she felt the need to fill the crowded space between them. "What, Chester, is your second wish?" She struggled to not let her emotions leak out any further. If things turned out bad between them, she didn't want him to have any dirt on her.

"Well, you may call me Belle. Just Belle."
"I am very, very pleased to meet you, Just Belle." Never once could he become serious. Chester grinned at her, his expression teasing. Boy, what a bore life would be without jokes and pranks and simple enjoyment.
"What, Chester, is your second wish?"
"My second wish? That's a good question..." He trailed off, once again that thoughtful, slight frown creasing his face. Not enough that all the amusement is erased from his expression, but so that he did actually appear to be thinking. Which he was. The first wish was pulled out of the air itself, what was he going to do for a second one?
Then, an idea hit him.
"My second wish, dear Belle, is a kiss from you. After all, we are going to be attending the dance together. Most... couples have been together for some time now, so we are far behind them," he explained, his voice almost deadly, as if every word he spoke were the absolute truth, serious in all ways possible.

Belle grinned; and tiny little dimples shown like little craters on her perfect, pale skin. It was nice to finally relax with Chester, and not worry about him joking around and making her brain hurt. Silently, she sat there, just looking at the male's fine features until he finally spoke again is accoradance to her previous statement.
My second wish, dear Belle, is a kiss from you. After all, we are going to be attending the dance together. Most... couples have been together for some time now, so we are far behind them.
Again, the carefree, easy-going Chester had been replaced by his former prankster self. And, at first, Belle couldn't tell if he was quite serious with his wish or if it was just a joke. Hinting that there wasn't anymore to this hair-brained idea, Belle felt the need to reply. "Well, if you absolutely feel that it's neccessary to feel my lips against yours, I suppose..."
And with that final statement, and a smirk, Belle felt herself kneel down on the hard linoleum flooring, waiting for Chester's lips to meet her's.

"Well, if you absolutely feel that it's necessary to feel my lips against yours, I suppose..."
"Of course I feel that it is a necessity! Why would I not?" Chester's tone implied that he was both offended that she thought he was joking about such a thing, mixed in with a little bit of cocky matter-of-factness. He was, of course, teasing, which just made the whole situation a bit odd, but that was not unusual around him.
As Belle knelt down in front of him, he reached out and slipped his arm around her back. At first, it might appear that he was simply doing what most do in this kind of situation, but instead of being gentle, he pulled her close in one swift movement and planted a big kiss on her lips. It was hardly what any girl would hope for when they think of their first kiss with a guy, and he was well aware of that. But since when was seriousness a big part of who he was?
