In Willow Lagoon, beneath the night stars that fleck themselves through the toppling willow trees, there is a little alcove, not known to many. But to those who know where it is, it is a beautiful place, even perhaps great enough to make it onto the 'wonders of the world' list.

The smooth boulders sit a couple feet above the ocean, and if you wanted, you could slid down them into the water. The water lollops against the rocks to the sound of the frogs and crickets and other native animals of Wake Island. And that's where Patrick Aldridge had decided to spend his night.

He had arrived early enough to watch the sun set slowly and calmly over the water and he felt so peaceful and serene that he wished no one could bother him.

The scene reminded him of one from The Blue Lagoon movie. The only thing that was missing was a female companion.

`NOTES Definately not my best one, more along the lines of my worst. I didn't know what to write about so I gave a pretty long and rambling description of the surroundings. xD

Despite it being summer, with weather as pleasant at peaches, Eve hugged the striped hoodie closer to her skin, bleary eyes staring down at the ground as she stumbled her way over to the Willow Lagoon. It was a nice night, like many had been lately, but still, Eve couldn't sleep.

She was just wandering randomly, passed the trees and into the alcove. Even then, it took her a moment to realize that she wasn't alone. "Oh..." she mumbled, wearily wiping a sleeve over her blue eyes. "Um. Hey. Mind if I join you?"

Too dazed to really wait for an answer, the girl sighed and settled herself next to Patrick, resting her head on her drawn-up knees and angling her face so she could watch him. "S'what brings you here...?"[/ul][/size]

"Oh. Um. Hey. Mind if I join you? S'what brings you here...?"

Patrick looked over to the girl who had suddenly appeared. "Sure, I s'ppose," he said dryly and rested his eyes back on the sunset. For some reason, he got the feeling that this girl wasn't going to leave him alone any time soon. "Nothing really. Just kinda reminds me of home," he said in a dreamily state.

He continued to look at the sun setting, not taking his eyes off it for a moment. "What brings you here?" Patrick wasn't really in the mood for conversation, and usually when he came to the lagoon it was for peace and tranquility. "Not too many people know 'bout this place?"

"Mn," she muttered, switching her gaze to look out across the sunset as well. She didn't like thinking of home, and even though she had met many people she didn't really understand why Patrick might want to be reminded.

With a grimace, she threw out this thought, instead pulling herself tighter into her crunched position. "I just kinda..." As Eve trailed off, she gestured her hands to indicate random movement, then quickly folded them over her knees. "Couldn't sleep."

Her chancing upon the area really had been random, and she was sure she wouldn't be able to remember the way once she fully woke up. But right now, she really didn't care.[/ul][/size]
