My family has never really been the...connected type. After elementary school, my parents sent me away to boarding schools, trying to get me to be prim and proper. I took it as a way for them to try and put me in my place, and rebelled as best I could.
But I liked most of the schools they sent me to. I could be who I wanted without my parents always there, judging me. I learned to love dance, and the world I lived in. Becoming more aware of my surroundings influenced me to become a vegetarian, and to keep plants around when I could.
When I was home for the summers, my family usually went on big trips to places around the world, so there was never really any time for a relationship. Besides, I'm not sure I'd want to frighten any boy I liked by having them meet my family!
